Your privacy matters to us. This page explains it in plain words. No legal maze.

1. Who We Are

Appliance Repair Abilene runs this website, appliancerepairabilene.org. In this policy, “we,” “us” and “our” mean Appliance Repair Abilene. “You” means anyone who visits the site or calls our number.

2. What This Policy Covers

This policy covers two things:

• Your visits to this website.
• Phone calls to the number shown on this website.

It does not cover other websites we link to. Those sites have their own policies.

3. Information We Collect

Information you give us on a call

When you call, we may ask for:

• Your name and phone number.
• The service address.
• The appliance type, brand and model number.
• What is wrong, and when it started.
• Good times for a visit, plus access notes such as a gate code or pets.

Only share what is needed to help you. You can always say no to a question.

Information collected automatically

We use Google Analytics 4, set up through Google Site Kit. It records things like:

• Pages you view and how long you stay.
• Your approximate area, such as your city.
• Your device and browser type.
• How you found us, such as a search or a link.

Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We cannot use this data to identify you.

Like almost every website, our web host keeps basic server logs. These show an IP address, browser, time and page. They are used for security and to fix errors.

What we do not collect

This site has no contact forms, no user accounts and no comment boxes. We never ask for your bank or card details on this website.

4. Cookies

Cookies are small files your browser saves. We use very few.

• Google Analytics cookies (named _ga and _ga_…). They tell one visit from another. They can last up to 2 years.
• Google Maps. Our homepage shows a Google map of our service area. Google may set its own cookies when the map loads or when you use it.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on. The site still works if you do.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Answer your call and your questions.
• Give you a price and book your visit.
• Complete your repair.
• Honor your 90-day parts and labor warranty.
• Follow up about the repair, if needed.
• Keep records that tax and business laws require.
• See which pages help people, so we can improve them.
• Keep this website safe.

We will not add you to a marketing list without your OK.

6. How We Share It

We share only what each party needs:

• The technician who handles your repair. They need your address, phone number and the problem.
• Service providers. For example, our phone service, scheduling tools, payment processing, web host and Google Analytics. They may use the data only to provide their service.
• When the law requires it. For example, a valid court order. Or to protect someone’s safety.
• If the business changes hands. Records may move to the new owner. This policy would still protect them.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for targeted advertising.

Google handles analytics data under its own privacy policy.

7. How Long We Keep It

• Call and job records: as long as we need them to finish your repair and cover your 90-day warranty. After that, only as long as tax and business record rules require.
• Analytics data: Google Analytics keeps it for no more than 14 months. Reports show totals, not individuals.
• Server logs: a short time, then they are deleted on a rolling basis.

8. How We Protect It

Every page on this site loads over a secure, encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Only people who need your details to help you can see them.

No system is 100% secure. If we ever learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.

9. Your Privacy Rights

The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act gives Texas residents privacy rights in many cases. We offer these rights to everyone, wherever you live. You can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we have about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong.
• Delete your information.
• Give you a copy of it.
• Not sell it, use it for targeted ads or use it for profiling. We already don’t, but you can ask in writing anyway.

How to ask: call (325) 331-4829 or write to us by mail. To protect you, we confirm who you are by checking the phone number and service address on file.

We reply within 45 days. It is free. We will never treat you differently for asking.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out.

If we say no: you can appeal by calling us. We will review it and answer within 60 days. If you are still not happy, you can contact the Texas Attorney General.

Some records, like tax records, must be kept by law. We will tell you if that applies.

10. Children’s Privacy

This site is for adults. Repairs are booked by adults 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child gave us information, call us and we will delete it.

11. Links to Other Websites

Some pages link to outside sites, like Google or Atmos Energy. We do not control them. Please read their privacy policies.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we change the date at the top. Big changes will be clearly noted on this page.
